When I reboot I still have Clover r3259 in my disk0s1 partition which I installed from 10.10.5. It writes the files into /EFI rather than disk0s1 EFI partition. I still seem to have problems installing Clover r3292 on to the SSD, from OS X 10.11.0 or 10.11.1. I used clover r3292 on my USB drive after I created it with the BaseSystem.dmg restore method. don't forget to clear kernel kext cache after modifications Edited Octoby JahStories I've made changes in DSTD.aml and then edited. My glitch is sometimes from cold boot i dont have sound but after a restart its ok!ĭefault connector for Surface 1 (but you have only one port and no DP)ĪAPL,ig-platform-id: 01660004, Stolen RAM for FB: 32MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 1, FBMem: 05 03 00 00 02 00 00 00 30 02 00 00 // (LVDS) I fix my problem with a custom entry in clover thanks anyway! I think bluetooth kext is working fine because i use it on my surface.i believe the problem is that apple change the usb drivers. Also i dont use genericusbxhci kext. bootmgfwbak.efi, then probably clover will see it.Ībout the dsdt and ssdt, I strongly suggest to use the one provided cause those have been optimized a lot during time, since the first maverick file pack. Tried creating the USB by using Diskmaker X 5.0.The bluetooth driver is not working for me, maybe because it needed to be enabled on windows, btw i've written to jape, its coder, he is probably going to release a new version.Ībout your issue you could write in clover's thread, I never encountered such problem, and i'm no more running a dual boot, just OsX.ĭid if you removed the original bootmgfw.efi? if yes maybe, that's why you can't boot windows, you could try renaming it to. Just speculating, but if anyone tries it please post your results here.Īgain! I haven't tried this and who ever tries this will do so at their own risk! If folks are creating EL Capitan OS X bootable usb installers on older hardware, they may have to update their Mac firmware to get it to work. I believe UEFI support on the 2013 was probably not fully supported then. I wouldn't be surprised if it has to deal with UEFI support. I will be testing it on three different model macs and post my results in the coming days. I decided to stick the same usb in a mac air model A1466 and WALA! It recognized the usb drive and I was able to boot into it. I created the usb stick using diskmaker X on a older 2013 and tried 4 different methods of creating the bootable usb installer and Zilch! it wouldn't work! BUT. I believe the issue stems from the type of hardware you are utilizing to create the bootable usb stick. So what do you wise people say? Why can't I create a bootable OSX-install-USB like before?Ĭlick to expand.I had the same problem with my MBPro model A1278 not seeing the usb stick when I booted with the alt key option, but switching to a different usb port didn't work for me either. Testing the USB on four different Macs - none of them recognizes the USB as bootable Formatting the USB a thousand times (GUID / OS X - journaled) Tried creating the USB by using Diskmaker X 5.0.1 instead of the terminal command (on three Macs) Tried creating the USB on three different Macs (with Mavericks, Yosemite and El Capitan) Redownloading El Capitan from the App Store (if something was wrong with the first image) Can't really see how I can do this procedure wrong. Is does mount as it should on my desktop, though, and I'm able to run the installer from the USB. However, the install-USB is not bootable and does not show up i the "Startup disk preference panel". As I've done a thousand times before I created an install-USB by downloading El Capitan from the App Store and compiled it on to the USB-drive by using Apples own terminal command. I have decided to go with a fresh and clean install of OS X 10.11 El Capitan this time.
